Update on the 2026-27 budget process

The Wake County Board of Education on Tuesday received an early preview of the Superintendent’s proposed operating budget for the 2026-27 school year. School district leaders are working to build a balanced budget during a time of significant financial uncertainty. Attend free STEM and Resource Fair for high school students with disabilities on April 18

High school students with disabilities – as well as their families and friends – are invited to the Reach for the Stars! Be a Star! STEM and Resource Fair on April 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh. The free event is hosted by the Catalyst program at NC State University. You can drop in any time. No registration is required. Attendees can meet professors, graduate students, and STEM professionals showcasing STEM content and educational and career pathways, and also connect with local resource providers. Learn more.
